A special flamingo named Bob was introduced to me in 2020. Bob and Odette Doest, a veterinary, have become ambassadors for wildlife conservation in Curacao (an island just above Venezuela). I couldn’t let the local connection go - GO…GO. #DontMuteDC has become an effort not just around preserving the sound of Go-Go but also the ongoing issues of gentrification in DC. Both habitats are constantly threatened by limited access to affordable housing, racial injustice, climate change - to name a few. Luckily we have Bob and Go-Go music to remind us of our capacity to give now and forever more. Please consider making donations in honor of your special someone(s)…
