During the summer months between 2018-2020, I invited groups of kids to participate in Johannes Volkmann’s of Das Papier Theater Konferenz der Kinder (Nürnberg, Germany). The first project include a book where they published their own thoughts and opinions. The books are now a part of an ongoing exhibit that is traveling around the world. In order to develop their ideas they also imbedded thoughts into clay to create a small public art installation at ArtSpace. For the second project, children from around the world were asked to send their plastic guns to Germany to be apart of a temporary interactive display at the memorable site (Kongresshalle) of the fascist era to symbolically express their wish for peace and to abolish weapons. For the most recent project students worked with the theme of building a world court of justice for children. They cut open and used empty cardboard boxes as writing pads.
