My journey with printmaking began at Guilford College in 1995. During that time I traveled to Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa which inspired a series of five woodcuts for my thesis. In the summer of 2002, I traveled to Florence, Italy to study printmaking and bookmaking at Santa Reparata and immersed myself in the artistic influences from this part of the world.   I continue my printmaking practice in my studio and take classes at Pyramid Atlantic
